Lately I have a growing interest in the application of Open Source and Free(dom) methods and concepts to non-software related products.
This evolution is interesting, exciting and promising. As with the software industry, some companies will use this as a publicity stunt, but if we all benefit from this, so be it.
I started a (very) short collection of the non-software Open Source products I could find on the net, hopefully the list will grow with time.
If you know of any current offerings that I missed (and there most certainly are) you can post a reply to this post with a suggestion and I will add it to the list.
If you have any ideas of products that SHOULD be developed or published in a similar manner, please suggest them.
